Pickle Hill Hounds

Ely was a most impressive dog with a temperament just as the Russians describe as most desirable. Courageous and aristocratic and extremely LOYAL. A gentle leader among my dogs and he sired puppies with wonderful temperaments which were well muscled, strong and VERY Fast!!!

In his first coursing season he distinguished himself at the Grand Course by swinging around out in front of one of the Bulman's top greyhounds and the Woolf's great whippets and swiped the rabbit right out from under them, without missing a stride - all within 70 yards of the Tally Ho.

Sired by Moscovich out of Silkenswift Akvilon Barsk, he born Oct 6, 1992 and died May 9, 1999, much too soon. Sadly, we were unaware that he was suffering from a prostate infection and caught it too late. He died due to complications from that infection. He sired several pups one of whom is "Hanihanna" who is still running in the open field fast as lightening and the age of nine years. He is also the grandsire of many of our "future champions" that live with others - all of which share his loving and fun personality. We are very proud to have had "Ely". We will miss him forever.
